Hotel opening hours:
In winter, bed and breakfast hotel –
rental from Thursday to Sunday on Advent weekends in 2025!
No rentals over Christmas/New Year’s Eve
The 2026 summer season starts on 1 May 2026!
Subject to change, errors excepted.
Current opening hours in the restaurant:
Closed until 30 April 2026!
The 2026 summer season starts on 1 May 2026!
Our restaurant is open for you in summer from 5 p.m. to around 9 p.m.
We serve food from 5 p.m. to 7.30 p.m., and the dessert menu is available until 30 minutes after the kitchen closes!
– Closed on Wednesdays
– Closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the Bavarian summer holidays
– Additional closing day on 9 May 2026!
The refuge at Hintersee
‘Das Refugium’ opened in July 2020.
It has 6 comfortable double rooms/suites, 30-60 square metres in size, with ‘in-room wellness’, large rain showers and in-room infrared cabins, wooden floors, oversized box-spring beds, a magnificent mountain view and much more.

Climate-neutral energy & fire protection
Fire safety:
In order to offer our guests the greatest possible protection, we adapted our main building to the current fire safety guidelines in 2019 and have it inspected regularly!
Climate-neutral energy:
Since 1 January 2017, we have been purchasing 100% environmentally friendly green electricity from Lichtblick.de, saving approximately 16 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year and making another small contribution to a healthier environment.
